The Hall of Faith

In chapter 11 of the  book of Hebrews the writer lays out what has been coined “The Hall of Faith” — a collection of exemplary biblical figures in the Old Testament.

Certainly the name plays off of what we all know as baseball’s “Hall of Fame”; but unlike the hall in Cooperstown, New York we’re all familiar with, the one in the Bible recognizes the “players” for their FAITH, not their fame.

They are called out as examples of what it looks like when we live out our faith.

In thinking of what images would best compliment Pastor Simao’s Hebrews Sermon Study, memories of yesteryear’s “Hall of Fame Turn-Back-the-Clock” baseball cards came to mind.

So in that spirit, enjoy our Hall of Faith “Sport Card Collection.” Collect all twenty!
