You have died with Christ.
You have been raised with Christ.
And now, your life is hidden in Christ.

A reality that reaches into every part of your life.

And nowhere is it more revealing
than at home.

Today on Scandia Bible Church Podcast,
Pastor Josh Peglow continues our study in the book of Colossians,
where Paul brings the new life we have in Christ
into our most intimate relationships —

between husbands and wives,
and parents and children.

His words are challenging —
especially in a culture that resists God’s design.

Yet Paul isn’t calling us to a peace of convenience,
bent to mirror the culture of the day.

Paul’s point is clear:

If Christ is Lord,His Lordship doesn’t stop at the doors of the church,
but continues through the doors of our homes.

Even when we know what’s right…
why is it so hard to change?

Today on Scandia Bible Church Podcast, Pastor Monty Simao takes us to the book of Proverbs as we continue our Wisdom and Worship study — where Proverbs 4 confronts one of the great misunderstandings of the Christian life: that lasting change comes through behavior modification.

Here, Solomon teaches that the real issue lies deeper than behavior — it lies in the heart.

The heart is the command center of life, and everything we say, do, and pursue flows from it.

Consequently, this passage calls us to carefully guard what we allow into our hearts, to recognize how our words and actions reveal our inner condition, and to seek true transformation at the source.

Ultimately, this proverb — and the others in this book of wisdom — point us beyond self-effort to the gospel, where God promises not merely better habits, but a new heart, given through Jesus Christ, who alone makes real and lasting change possible.

Precious in the Sight of the Lord [Psalm 116:1-19]

When the pain is real…
when the cry is desperate…
and when life feels closer to the end than the beginning…

What kind of God listens?

Today on the Scandia Bible Church Podcast,
Pastor Monty Simao continues our Wisdom and Worship series
with Psalm 116 —
a song of suffering, deliverance, and grateful devotion.

The psalmist reveals a God who hears the voice of the lowly,
rescues those at the edge,
and dares to call the death of His saints precious.

But the psalm does more:
It points us forward to Jesus —
God’s own Son —
who sang these words
on the night He was betrayed
and went to the cross,
transforming death itself
from an ending… into a doorway to life.

Here we learn what it means to trust the Lord in suffering,
to offer a sacrifice of praise,
and to live — and die —
with the confidence that we are precious in His sight.

Because the very God who hears your cry
is the same God who holds your life…
and your final breath.
