[For] I have written to you briefly, exhorting and testifying that this is the true grace of God.
Stand firm in it!
Today on Scandia Bible Church Podcast, Pastor Josh Peglow concludes our study in 1 Peter as Peter concludes his letter with a powerful exhortation to humility, trust in God, vigilance against the devil, and perseverance in suffering.
[For] the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you.
Today on Scandia Bible Church Podcast, Pastor Josh Peglow continues with our study in the book of 1 Peter in which we learn that humility is the key which church leaders are to ground themselves…
…if they are to faithfully shepherd the church as God intends.
Likewise, that same key applies to the “sheep” that follow.
Now that we’re beginning to understand the truth of justification, what do we do with it?? How does it apply to our lives?
Today on Scandia Bible Church Podcast, Pastor Monty Simao continues with our study in the book of Romans in which the apostle Paul masterfully distills for us the implications of the doctrine of justification:
Description: On this first day of the first month of the New Year we examine if we have indeed put on the new self who is being renewed daily by the One who created him.
Description: Humility is an essential characteristic of true piety, or of the person who is right with God. God humbles men in order to bring them to Himself, and it is when men humble themselves before Him that they are accepted. To “walk humbly with your God” completes the Divine requirements.
Description: As we continue our study in the book of Ephesians, we reach a turning point in which Paul is a calling us to duty in light of the doctrine that he has set forth in the previous three chapters: From his imprisoned cell, he implores us to get up and walk in a manner worthy of the calling in which God has called us.
Description: The Apostle concludes his teaching on submission with these two verses [3:8-9]. Whether it’s being in submission to every human authority, servants to a master, or even husbands and wives submitting to one another, we follow the example left for us by Jesus — we follow in His steps. Why? To inherit a blessing.
