Description: Our Lord had such respect for the Old Testament writings. They contain wonderful stories that show us the Heart of God in His dealing with mankind. This section in Genesis that we will focus on today gives us a precious look at the tenderness of the Lord in leading us, His children.
Description: Israel had wandered away from Jehovah God, and they were worshiping false gods. Elijah, a bold and brave Prophet, is used of God to point the people back to Himself.
Description: Nearly all of the Bible can be read and understood at face value. But there are some sections that can be confusing and misleading if not approached properly. One such section we’ll look at today is the 6th chapter of the Book of Hebrews.
Description: Each day of our lives we are exposed to unsaved people. If we are not ready to share Christ it won’t happen. The answer is simple: be ready.
Description: The Bible is very clear about who is behind every bad thing that happens to individuals or families, or even nations. God’s Holy Word is the only absolute source of information on this topic and God has much to say about it.
Description: We speak of the world spiraling down into depravity but in reality that’s where it has always been. God has an absolute standard of holiness. That call for holiness in our lives is clear in Scripture.
Description: For all of us who follow Jesus, each morning we have the fresh opportunity to draw close to Him. There is always the temptation as we go through our day that we, like Peter, will spend our day following Jesus at a distance — far off.
Description: God has created and placed in every person an awareness of good and bad. We all use this marvelous tool daily but we don’t often identify it as conscience.
Description: Looking back on recorded history we see the hand of God in all of man’s comings and goings. The Book of Ezekiel gives a fascinating insight into how our sovereign God deals with us. Romans 15:4 says, “For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning…” There is a saying that a wise man seeks old wisdom. We can find that wisdom studying the book of Ezekiel.
Description: It’s such an amazing truth that while we were yet enemies of God, He paid the full price for our redemption. As if that were not enough, He now promises to bless us with all that is needed for life and Godly living.
Description: The Bible is today’s fuel supply to keep a fire burning within. The Apostle Paul, the Prophet Jeremiah, and the disciples on the road to Emmaus, all expierienced the “fire within” as a result of being confronted by God.
Description: This passage in Matthew is that old old story that we have know since childhood. The baby, the shepherds, the Magi, the special star, and the gifts. It was special to us as children, but now as adults we too often tend to gloss over it. Today let’s take time to explore it — to soak in it a bit –to see the marvel and wonder of God becoming a man so that He could live out a sinless life and then give that life on the cross for us.
Description: Hundreds of people each hour enter a Christless eternity. Christians are called, just as Moses was, to go and set people free. Slavery to Egypt or modern day slavery to sin, each require someone to ‘go and tell’ the capatives that there is a Redeemer.
Description: The holyness of God is an absolute. The punishment of a trespass can result in death yet we see that Aaron the high priest seems to be immune to punishment.
Description: The Apostle Paul gives us one of the most THRILLING DESCRIPTIONS in all the Bible concerning the expected return of Jesus Christ for His children, His Bride, and His Church.
Description: Some folks have been saved for many years but have never grown in their faith. A very important key to growth is being in the Bible and the best time to do that is early in the morning.
Description: The battle plan was reveiled in Genesis, but the conclusion doesn’t happen until the end of the Book of Revelation. It’s the longest battle in history and the only one on record where the General does all the fighting.
