Today on Scandia Bible Church Podcast, Pastor Monty Simao continues with our study in the book of Revelation in which we delve into the topic of judgement, and in particular, the Great White Throne of Judgement.
Questions like: “Who sits on this throne?”… “Who is being judged?”… and “Are believers judged the same as unbelievers?” are all important and valid questions that we will seek answers.

SBC Host: Speak about the book of Revelation for any length of time, and this is a question that will likely arise.
Today on Scandia Bible Church Podcast, Pastor Monty Simao shares a section from the book of Revelation that is shrouded in mystery.
Avg. Guy: You’re telling me! It seems that every time I turn around, the maps get redone, and the names I thought I had down, change! Which just makes these “Gog and Magog” characters seem more shadowy than ever.
SBC Host: It can be confusing. But maybe that’s because we’re asking the wrong questions.
Avg. Guy: huh?
SBC Host: Maybe the question should not be the identity of God’s enemies, but rather what happens to them…when the sovereign God and His people are opposed.

Avg. Guy: You’re telling me! John writes about seeing martyred saints on thrones?? What are these thrones??? And then there’s that 1000-year millennium thing again…What to we do with that?? If there’s a first resurrection… is there a second? And if there’s a second death... is there a first??? …I’m so confused!?
SBC Host: Hold on. I told you there were questions to answer. But while these questions may seem ominous and intimidating at first, their answers present to us a beautiful passage of hope beyond the grave.

The first is a beautiful banquet of the Marriage supper of the Lamb — the second, a grotesque gorge, that is even difficult to read about.
God’s judgment and eternal damnation is a difficult topic, but it’s one that Christ and His apostles spoke often of, and therefore, requires our attention.

Description: As we near the end of the Bible, the fate of two women hang in the balance.
Today on Scandia Bible Church Podcast, Pastor Monty Simao continues with our study in the book of Revelation in which we are introduced to two women who will be be judged very differently: the harlot and the bride.
The harlot — the great prostitute and idolatress of Babylon — has been corrupting and poisoning the earth with her adultery, and now must face the fierce outpouring of the wrath of the Lamb.
While the the Bride of Christ has been redeemed and is permitted to dress in fine, dazzling white and clean linen — signifying the righteous and moral acts of the saints — as she readies herself for her groom… who is also the Lamb.
For one will stand as recipient of His wrath, the other, His love.

Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great! She has become a dwelling place of demons and a prison of every unclean spirit…
And the kings of the earth, who committed acts of immorality and lived sensuously with her, will weep and lament over her when they see the smoke of her burning, standing at a distance because of the fear of her torment, saying, “Woe, woe, the great city, Babylon, the strong city! For in one hour your judgment has come.”
It’s the funeral of Babylon the Great…the funeral of the Harlot.
Today on Scandia Bible Church Podcast, Pastor Monty Simao continues with our study in the book of Revelation in which we see in chapter 18 the world watching from a distance the funeral service of Babylon, lamenting that their cash cow has met her demise.
“Woe, woe, the great city, in which all who had ships at sea became rich by her wealth, for in one hour she has been laid waste!”
But the saints are also watching, and they are rejoicing that God has judged the city that has made itself drunk on the blood of the martyrs.
Rejoice over her, O heaven, and you saints and apostles and prophets, because God has pronounced judgment for you against her.

But as great a picture as the Exodus is in showing us God’s deliverance, the Bible speaks of an even greater “Exodus” with a freedom that comes from One who is greater than Moses.
