Sermon Notes
Date: 12/24/2023
Preacher: Monty Simao, pastor
Series: Advent
Key Text: Genesis 3:1-21
Description:
Advent — a time of reflection and anticipation.
Today, Christmas Eve morning, on the Scandia Bible Church Podcast, Pastor Monty Simao delves into the story that changed the course of humanity: God’s perfect creation and the entrance of sin into all that He had made.
This story is not just about the first sin, though, it’s a mirror reflecting our own struggles, hopes, and the profound need for redemption.

Because when all that Adam and Eve ought to have expected was God’s wrath, in the midst of Almighty’s curse was (and is) a promise of a Savior to come.
So even as sin entered the world, hope also entered with the promise of Jesus the Savior who would crush the head of the serpent once and for all.

Sermon Notes
Date: 11/10/2019
Preacher: Monty Simao, pastor
Series: Revelation
Key Text: Revelation 20:1-3
Description: The opening verses of Revelation 20 are by far the most argued and most contested verses in this entire last book of the Bible.
Today on Scandia Bible Church, Pastor Monty Simao continues with our study in the book of Revelation and explains that the differing end-times positions we see in the church today are largely defined by how one views the millennial period mentioned in this chapter.

But this needn’t be a passage of confusion. We can make sense of what God is showing us in these passages, for though at first glance they may seem daunting, clarity and understanding awaits, from Him.

Sermon Notes
Date: 03/27/2016, Easter Sunday
Preacher: Keith Barker, elder
Key Text: 1 Corinthians 5:7-8
Description: Most Christians don’t associate Easter with Passover. But with some study, one can see how they are beautifully interwoven into God’s perfect tapestry. The parallel of the Passover Lamb and our Lord Jesus — the perfect sacrificial Lamb of God — helps clarify in our minds the wonder of God’s plan for the salvation of believers.
