Today on Scandia Bible Church Podcast,

in the Gospel of Matthew —
as Jesus confronts
the promises we make,
the words we manipulate,
and the loopholes we use
to excuse deception.
The Pharisees had built
a system of oaths
that sounded righteous
while leaving room
to lie.
And their loopholes expose
the same impulse in us —
to shape the truth
to serve ourselves.
But every word is spoken
before the sovereign God.
The Law leaves us
without excuse
and drives us
to the Lord of Truth —
the One whose perfect obedience
is counted as ours,
and whose every word
was true —
and remains
forever true.
