remarkably expressed.
A young Jewish woman becomes queen.
A wicked king escapes assassination.
And a courageous act goes unrewarded.
…Or so it seems.
For behind these imperfect people
and seemingly disconnected events,
God is accomplishing His purposes.
Not by approving their sinful choices,
nor by merely reacting to their circumstances —
but by sovereignly directing history
toward His appointed end.
And nowhere do we see this more clearly
than at the cross —
where the greatest evil ever committed
became the means
of our greatest good.
