Sermon Notes
Date: 10/11/2026
Preacher: David Teves, pastor
Series: Galatians
Key Text: Galatians 2:11-16
Description:
He preached it.
He believed it.
He knew the truth of the gospel.
But when the pressure came,
his actions told a different story.
Today on Scandia Bible Church Podcast,
Pastor David Teves continues our study
in the book of Galatians —
where the Apostle Paul confronts Peter
for conduct that contradicts
the very gospel he professes.
And in that confrontation,
Paul exposes a danger
that still threatens the church today.
The temptation to measure our standing
before God — and one another —
by something other than Christ.
But the gospel leaves no room
for a righteousness of our own.

We are justified through faith in Christ,
not by works of the law.
And those who have received this grace
are called to walk
in step with its truth.

Discussion Guide:
Use of this guide is designed to help you think about David’s sermon. It is for both individual reflection, as well as group discussions like family worship. My prayer is that it will allow you to dwell longer, and meditate more, upon God’s holy Word and will be fodder for sanctifying conversations.
