Monty Simao 2014Sermon Notes

Date: 07/28/2019

Preacher: Monty Simao, pastor

Series: Revelation

Key Text: Revelation 14:16-20

Description: Fire and brimstone preaching… a style that has certainly has fallen out of contemporary fashion. And yet, the Bible is chock-full of explicit and implicit warning against the coming wrath of God.

Today on Scandia Bible Church Podcast, Pastor Monty Simao continues with our study in the book of Revelation and points out that whether the message is read from the Bible, or preached from the pulpit, countless people hear it and delay bowing the knee before God in repentance.

Keith Barker 2014Sermon Notes

Date: 11/06/2016

Preacher: Keith Barker, elder

Key Text: Matthew 13:24-30; 37-42

SBC logo 204x204Description: Many folks, with the best of intentions, sit each week in their favorite church pew and are presented with a lovely talk that comes close to being from the Word of God.

The man up front is wearing a nice suit, has a traditional hair cut, a big Bible, and a degree in theology.

He reads a passage and then gives a stirring and interesting talk. The congregation all listen intently, shake hands, smile, and go home… feeling like, by attending church, they’ve done their bit to please God.

In today’s message we are going to be taught – by Jesus’ own words – a Truth that could make some folk reassess their relationship with the Lord Jesus.

Sermon Notes

Date: 10/13/2013

Preacher: Keith Barker, elder

Key Text: Matthew 9:35-38

Description:  Jesus referred to Himself as the Lord of the harvest.  It’s the entire reason that He came to earth.   Then He speaks to Christian saying, “As My Father hath sent me, so send I you.”  …And it is that truth needs to be planted in the heart and mind of every ‘born again’ believer.
