Key Text: Genesis 7

SBC logo 204x204Description:

“Then the flood came… and the water increased and lifted up the ark…. The water prevailed and increased greatly upon the earth, and the ark floated on the surface of the water. The water prevailed more and more upon the earth, so that all the high mountains everywhere under the heavens were covered…. All flesh that moved on the earth perished…. all in whose nostrils was the breath of the spirit of life, died…. They were blotted out from the earth; and only Noah was left, together with those that were with him in the ark.”

(taken from Gen 7:17-23)

Today on Scandia Bible Church Podcast, Pastor Monty Simao continues with our study in the book of Genesis and covers one of the most well-known and hotly-debated accounts in the Bible: The Flood of Noah. Oftentimes, though, with all the attention it garners, in the midst of exerting our focus and efforts in trying to defend it (or avoid it), we Christians miss something amazing — we miss the amazing part the flood plays in the history of our redemption.
