The suffering, intense.
The pain and sorrow, all-consuming.
The struggle, real.
Today on Scandia Bible Church Podcast, Pastor Josh Peglow turns to the book of Lamentations as our congregation continues to struggle in this very real way.
In our passage we read how the author also faced intense suffering and all-consuming pain and sorrow.
But then, something remarkable happens — he chooses to remember.
He remembers that — even in the worst of times — God’s steadfast love never ceases, for His mercies are new every morning. And it is through this recollection that the author finds the hope that transcends even the deepest despair.
…Which ultimately is the reminder we need:
Hope is not something we wait for, but something we remember.

Stand firm in it!
Today on Scandia Bible Church Podcast, Pastor Josh Peglow concludes our study in 1 Peter as Peter concludes his letter with a powerful exhortation to humility, trust in God, vigilance against the devil, and perseverance in suffering.
[For] the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you.
To Him be dominion forever and ever.
Amen.

Two different reasons one can suffer.
Today on Scandia Bible Church Podcast, Pastor Josh Peglow continues with our study in the book of 1 Peter in which believers are urged to ensure that their suffering is a result of their Christian witness rather than wrongdoing.
Peter addresses the reality of suffering for being a Christian and encourages us not to be surprised by the fiery trials we may face.
Such suffering is cause for rejoicing, for it is a participation in the suffering of Christ… which means on the day in which it is revealed, we will also share in His glory.
