Superior.

The Bible presents a clear and superior contrast between Mount Sinai and, heavenly, Mount Zion… as well as between the “church in the wilderness” gathered under the mediator Moses and the “church of the firstborn” who are gathered under the mediatorial ministry of Jesus Christ.

Today on Scandia Bible Church Podcast, Pastor Monty Simao continues with our study in the book of Hebrews and points us to this superiority, in that Jesus, who is the superior high priest, has brought the superior sacrifice into the superior sanctuary… and in His blood has brought us under a superior covenant.

Two brothers went before the Lord to offer a sacrifice. One was accepted…the other, rejected.

Today on Scandia Bible Church Podcast, Pastor Monty Simao continues with our study in the book of Hebrews in which we examine this perplexing situation.

After all, as brothers, Cain and Abel had the same parents and were likely raised the same way. They both believed in God. And they both offered sacrifices from their labor and toil.

But the end of the story leaves one brother dead and the other exiled.

Why??

…The very question the author of Hebrews seeks to answer.

This week, as we study the second half of Genesis 4, we see the formation of culture and the sinfulness that permeates throughout.
