Sermon Notes

Date: 05/10/2026

Preacher: Josh Peglow, pastor

Series: Colossians

Key Text: Colossians 4:10-14

Description:

Aristarchus. Mark. Justus. Epaphras. Luke. Demas.

Names we might pass over.
Greetings we might rush through.

But tucked inside these final lines is a picture of the church Christ is building.

Today on Scandia Bible Church Podcast, Pastor Josh Peglow nears the conclusion of our study in the book of Colossians—

as the apostle Paul sends greetings from fellow workers, servants, and sufferers in the work of the gospel.

Different names. Different stories. Different histories.

Some serving quietly behind the scenes.
Some bearing the marks of failure and restoration.
Some striving in prayer for the people of God.

All reminding us that Christian fellowship is not shallow.

It is formed in humility,
strengthened through reconciliation,
sustained by faithful ministry,
and held together in Christ alone.

Because the church is not merely a gathering of similar people.

It is the body of Christ.

Sermon Notes

Date: 04/12/2026

Preacher: Josh Peglow, pastor

Series: Colossians

Key Text: Colossians 4:7-9

Description:

They carried more than news.
They carried people.

Today on Scandia Bible Church Podcast,
Pastor Josh Peglow continues our study in the book of Colossians —

where the apostle Paul begins to wrap his letter,
commending two faithful men:

Tychicus and
Onesimus.

Sent not just to inform —
but to encourage.

Names.
Stories.
Struggles.
Faith.

From one church…
to another.

Because this is how God builds His church:
people
— believers strengthening believers in Christ.

Faithful.
Available.
Sent.

Because in the end,
the church is not about a program —

it’s about Jesus
working through His people.

Integrity. Dignity. And a deep faith that guides both personal conduct and ministry.

This is what Paul penned to Timothy nearly 2000 years ago as to what to look for in a deacon.

But that was a long time ago! What do these qualifications look like in modern day?
