Sermon Notes
Date: 01/24/2016
Preacher: Keith Barker, elder
Key Text: James 3:13
Description: Our culture in America places great value on the knowledge that comes with a college education. From a financial perspective it nearly guarantees your life earnings will increase. The Bible, though, tells us to study for knowledge, but to ask for wisdom. There’s a difference between knowledge and wisdom. Knowledge is acquired through study, but wisdom is something that is given. You can’t get wisdom just by obtaining that precious college degree, because wisdom is a gift of God.

Date: 05/09/2010
Preacher: Frank Acevedo, elder
Series: 1 Peter
Key Text: 1 Peter 3:1-6
Description: An unsaved husband can better be won to Christianity by seeing it work in his wife’s godly life — even, as the Apostle writes, without a word. To illustrate, Peter turns to the marriage of Sarah and Abraham as the quintessential example of how the holy women of former times submitted to their husbands.
