…Which also means that we are dissatisfied with anything less.
Therefore, our hearts will only rest when we find the home that God has prepared for us, where we will dwell in His presence forever.

She’s wife to “The Father of all who believe,” but she doesn’t share the same stellar reputation. [sfx: laugh of unbelief]
Today on Scandia Bible Church Podcast, Pastor Monty Simao continues with our study in the book of Hebrews where we are focusing on the heroes that adorn the “Hall of Faith”.
…And when we hear that Sarah made the cut, we too are tempted to laugh. For we remember in the book of Genesis that the aged Sarah laughed in unbelief when God told her husband, Abraham, that she would soon have a son.
And yet, the book of Hebrews remembers Sarah DIFFERENTLY — as one who believed God.
Certainly, this obvious contradiction must be due to some sort of oversight!
Nope.
For thanks be to God’s grace,
“even Sarah” has a place…
in the Epistle to the Hebrews’ Hall of Faith.

In chapter 23, we see that Abraham’s wife, Sarah, has died… But instead of focusing on her death, Abraham enters into a land negotiation.
Why is this all here, and what is God showing us through it? …The answer may surprise you.

God knows your every thought and can see everything that is in your heart.
Today on Scandia Bible Church Podcast, Pastor Monty Simao continues with our study in the book of Genesis and explains that if you are fearful about God’s ability to know everything you keep from others, you’re not alone. In our passage we’ll see that even Sarah felt this way when God rebuked her while she was laughing in her heart. But what we’ll also see is that God’s ability to see into our heart is actually part of the Gospel, part of the good news of God’s love poured out in the work of Jesus Christ.
