Description: The Apostle John would have us understand that Jesus cares as deeply for our relationship with the Father as He did for a building that should have been a holy place of worship.
Description: In today’s sermon, we come to a controversial section of Scripture for two reasons. The first is that the mention of “alcohol” opens a can of worms for many Christians and the second is that there is disagreement on what it means to be filled by the Holy Spirit and the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. This sermon attempts to clear up any confusion and misconceptions regarding both of these areas and clearly outline what Paul means by this verse and why he makes such a comparison.

Description: Paul continues his admonition that we are to be imitators of God. We are to imitate God as we walk in love, walk in light, and walk in wisdom. Paul encourages us to make the most use of our time, literally redeem our time which is one way that we are to walk in wisdom.

Description: It’s such an amazing truth that while we were yet enemies of God, He paid the full price for our redemption. As if that were not enough, He now promises to bless us with all that is needed for life and Godly living.
Description: Paul continues his argument that we are to be imitators of God and that we are not only to walk in love (Ephesians 5:2) but also to walk in light.

Description: John, in chapter 2 tells us by the works of Christ Jesus, His deeds, that He indeed is God. To confirm this, John gives eight different sign miracles. All of these eight miracles are different, no two are alike. The first miracle that John presents is the miracle that takes place at a wedding in Cana.
Description: The Bible is today’s fuel supply to keep a fire burning within. The Apostle Paul, the Prophet Jeremiah, and the disciples on the road to Emmaus, all expierienced the “fire within” as a result of being confronted by God.
Description: We live in a day when sexual immorality is rampant to the point where many churches are not only condoning sinful behavior but blessing it. In this section of Ephesians, Paul makes it clear that sexual immorality will be judged by God and those who participate in it will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Description: This passage in Matthew is that old old story that we have know since childhood. The baby, the shepherds, the Magi, the special star, and the gifts. It was special to us as children, but now as adults we too often tend to gloss over it. Today let’s take time to explore it — to soak in it a bit –to see the marvel and wonder of God becoming a man so that He could live out a sinless life and then give that life on the cross for us.
Description: For the true meaning of Christmas we look to the Apostle Paul’s first epistle to Timothy and find a trustworthy statement deserving our full acceptance.
Description: This sermon provides five answers found in Scripture for the question, “Why a virgin birth?” This doctrine is a basic dogma of the Christian faith.
Description: Hundreds of people each hour enter a Christless eternity. Christians are called, just as Moses was, to go and set people free. Slavery to Egypt or modern day slavery to sin, each require someone to ‘go and tell’ the capatives that there is a Redeemer.
Description: Jesus is calling His first followers; those with whom He would spend three years, teaching them all they needed so to know God. They would be the authority to be the foundation that Christ used to form the Church to worship Him and proclaim the new age of the Kingdom of God.
Description: Sexual sins are rampant in our culture and we have become calloused to them. They tear apart our churches, our families, and tarnish the name of Christ. Paul instructs us that our minds should be filled with thanksgiving and not lewdness. Thanksgiving is unselfish while sexual perversion and sin is to only pursue self-pleasure.
Description: The holyness of God is an absolute. The punishment of a trespass can result in death yet we see that Aaron the high priest seems to be immune to punishment.
