Description: Have you ever had a dream in which you were being pursued? Have you ever awoke in a cold sweat because you were almost caught?
Today on Scandia Bible Church Podcast, Pastor Monty Simao continues with our study in the book of Revelation in which he teaches that the feeling of being pursued is one the ancient Israelites knew well, as God brought about a great deliverance in the Exodus.
But as great a picture as the Exodus is in showing us God’s deliverance, the Bible speaks of an even greater “Exodus” with a freedom that comes from One who is greater than Moses.

Today on Scandia Bible Church Podcast, we welcome Guest Pastor Anthony Mathenia, from Christ Church in Radford, Virginia… who asks us this very question: What one event would you choose?
There are so many, to be sure — whether we choose to watch the Lord speak the Universe into existence or witness the miraculous birth of Christ; be there as God parts the Red Sea or marvel as Jesus prepares a meal for five thousand.
The truth is, it would be hard to choose just one.
But as we contemplate the epic experiences we might choose, Pastor Mathenia asks us to consider an event that might not make our Top Ten:
What would happen if we took a walk with Jesus?

Description: The Protestant Reformation — an event in church history we tend to associate with Martin Luther and other 16th Century reformers. We tend to forget, however, that Jesus Christ was the Original Reformer.
Today on Scandia Bible Church Podcast, brother in Christ, David Teves fills in at the pulpit and shares that Martin Luther and others were simply following Jesus’ example. For the Pharisees and scribes held that the traditions and laws of man were equal with Scripture — just as the Medieval Church and the Pope, 1500 years later in Luther’s day, said that Scripture AND tradition were the authority on truth.
…And, the argument continues to this day: To find truth, are other influences required to come alongside the Holy Scriptures of the Bible… or is the Bible enough?

Description: Fire and brimstone preaching… a style that has certainly has fallen out of contemporary fashion. And yet, the Bible is chock-full of explicit and implicit warning against the coming wrath of God.
Today on Scandia Bible Church Podcast, Pastor Monty Simao continues with our study in the book of Revelation and points out that whether the message is read from the Bible, or preached from the pulpit, countless people hear it and delay bowing the knee before God in repentance.
The day is coming, however, when it will be too late to repent… and both the believer and the non-believer will be harvested: one to eternal reward — the other, eternal damnation.
