SBC Host: When we pray the Lord’s Prayer… what do we mean when we say “Thy Kingdom Come”?

Many have memorized the Lord’s Prayer and so repeat the words while having no idea what they mean.

With the second petition of “Thy Kingdom Come,” we see the present reality of being found in Christ grounded with the ultimate and final eschatological hope we have as believers.

Then the seventh angel sounded; and there were loud voices in heaven, saying,“The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ; and He will reign forever and ever.”

Today on Scandia Bible Church Podcast, Pastor Monty Simao continues with our study in the book of Revelation where we see the Trumpet Judgments come to an end in much the same way as the Seal Judgments — with images representing the final Day of Judgment and the consummation of Christ’s kingdom.

For the goal is that Heaven and Earth are one and that God’s temple fills the earth… and the final destruction of all His enemies is seen.

Description: Most people think the end game of the Bible (Consummation) is for God to bring man back to The Garden.

Today on Scandia Bible Church Podcast, Pastor Monty Simao continues with our study in the book of Revelation, and teaches us that in the story of Redemption, that line of thinking is simply NOT TRUE.

No, Consummation will bring us back to a state far better than Eden…far better than anything we can imagine!

For sin will be no more, righteousness will reign, and the garden will have been expanded to the ends of the earth…where God will dwell with us.
