SBC Host: Have you every questioned what happens to the poor native who never hears the gospel, never meets a Christian, or never reads the Bible?
Avg Guy:Yes! I’ve had that question for a long time. Will God judge that person??
SBC Host: You’re not alone in wondering this… Especially when we consider that there are many others who have repeatedly heard the gospel, been given the opportunity to repent, and yet continue to reject Christ.
Today on Scandia Bible Church Podcast, Pastor Monty Simao continues with our study in the book of Romans and shows us that the Bible provides the answer to our quandary… quite clearly.
Description: Ever wish you could see into the future?
Today on Scandia Bible Church Podcast, Pastor Monty Simao shows us that our study Revelation this time around allows us to do just that: giving us a glimpse of God’s people, without question, triumphantly standing with the Lord Jesus on Mount Zion.
In addition, we can’t help but marvel at the depth of God’s faithfulness on display — not even one saint lost, all are known and accounted for.
Description: Sometimes Judgment doesn’t come as we would expect.
Today on Scandia Bible Church Podcast, Pastor Monty Simao continues with our study in the book of Revelation and asks would we still consider it “Judgement” if God brought forth an event so dramatic that it rivaled Sodom and Gomorrah, but instead of fire and brimstone, there was deception and idolatry?
Description: As Christians we all stand ready to bat down blatant error. We wouldn’t hesitate to spring into action if someone in the church rebuffed justification by faith alone or denied the deity of Christ. …But what if the error was more subtle? …a small compromise that was just enough to give a foothold to the Devil.
Today on Scandia Bible Church Podcast, Pastor Monty Simao continues with our study in the book of Revelation and shares with us that while we are all busy gearing for the full frontal attack, the truth is, we forget to guard our flanks.
And when we do, we fail to see the seduction from without, or perhaps more sadly, the false teaching from within — giving permission to those small compromises that we think probably won’t matter.
Description: Genesis Chapter 9 put bacon on the menu. Today on Scandia Bible Church Podcast, Pastor Monty Simao continues our study in the book of Genesis in which we see that with the flood behind us, the old world is gone – it is destroyed. But through God’s grace a new one is provided…with Noah, in a sense, acting as another “Adam” – and all generations of the earth coming through him. And so one of the obvious questions becomes (besides allowing for bacon) in what ways has God’s relationship with man changed since the flood, and in what ways is it still the same? For that you’re going to have to listen, but one thing is for sure: With Chapter 9, we gain a fuller picture of the character of God, as we begin to catch a glimpse of the depth of His love towards man with the great and incredible unfolding of His Covenant of Grace.
Description: Judges 10 begins with the accounts of two minor judges, Tola and Jair who bring about over 40 years of peace. But the author of Judges tells us that this time of peace resulted in an incredible period of apostasy and idolatry.
Description: In this section of the book of Judges, the author introduces the cycles of unfaithfulness on the part of the people and the deliverance from the hand of God.
Description: John ends his letter with a warning to all Christians that we should guard ourselves from idols. We will consider this warning while noting four things this text teaches us:
Description: The second section of the book of Jonah (chapters 3-4) begins in much the same fashion as the first section. In the first 2 verses we glean three important things about the way God extends His grace toward sinners. We see how God extended His grace toward Jonah and how He continues to extend His grace toward sinners today.
Description: Jonah cries out to God in desperation in the belly of the fish that God has sent to swallow him. Jonah’s prayer reveals that he did indeed know the one true God, but it also reveals that his heart was unrepentant.
