Alone.
…And tempted.

Today on Scandia Bible Church Podcast,
Pastor Monty Simao continues our study
in the Gospel of Matthew —

by taking us
into the wilderness.

There, Jesus is led by the Spirit
to face the devil.

Forty days without food.
Forty days without comfort.
Forty days without relief.

What unfolds
is no ordinary temptation.

For here stands
the true Son,
the true Israel,
the last Adam—

to do what they could not.

Where Adam fell,
Christ obeys.

Where Israel failed,
Christ stands.

Tested beyond every other son—
Jesus answers
with the Word of God.

He does not seize bread,
demand proof,
or bow for kingdoms.

He obeys.

And in that obedience—
He conquers.

Because before the crowds,
before the miracles,
before the cross—

HE STANDS
AGAINST SATAN.

receives a crown…

by stepping into the water?

Today on Scandia Bible Church Podcast,

at the Jordan.

John calls sinners
to repent.

And then—

the sinless One arrives.

Not to stand apart…
but to step in.

“To fulfill all righteousness.”

And as He rises—

the heavens open,
the Spirit descends,
and the Father declares:

“This is my beloved Son.”

Before the crown…
before the cross…
before the palms —

the King is revealed.

Because the King
who comes to save His people—

first stands
in their place.

If God can prevent our suffering then why doesn’t He?

Mediator, Intercessor, and Friend [Job 15-17]

Key Text: Job 15-17

Description: Eliphaz speaks to Job a second time and his speech becomes more attacking. Eliphaz tells Job he is sinning right now and that he stand condemned by his own words.

Job continues to maintain his integrity and trust in God. Remarkably Job cries out for a Mediator who would intercede with God on Job’s behalf and act as a witness and even be Job’s friend. Only one could fill this role and that is Christ Himself.
