Description: The difference between having faith in faith and faith in Jesus Christ is the difference between day and night, Heaven and Hell. The topic is clearly presented in God’s Holy Word and we are attempting to increase both our understanding of faith and increase our faith by way of this message.
Description: The Apostle Peter, in 1 Peter 3:13-17, tells his readers that they should not fear men and any suffering they might encounter. Quoting Isaiah 8:11-13, Peter writes that they should have a reverence for Jesus and be always ready to tell others why they have hope.
Description: Paul reveals a mystery that was made known to him that the Gentiles would hold the same status and be fused together with the Jews in a new people called the church. This was a hard message for the Jews to hear. This was a mystery that was not previously revealed to the OT Prophets and was far greater than the Proselyte structure that had existed in ancient Israel. In this new covenant, the Gentiles would be fellow-heirs, fellow members of the body, and fellow partakers of the promises found in Christ Jesus.
Description: The Apostle Peter tells us that the best way to dispose people to speak well of you, and live peaceably with you, will be found in these three verses quoted from Psalm 34:12-16.
Description: The idea of man’s stewardship goes back to the Garden of Eden. The believer is not just a recipient of God’s grace but has been called as a steward of that grace. Stewardship to the Christian is not a concept focused on tithing but on all aspects of the Christian’s walk.
Description: We have not a complete understanding of the sinfullness of sin. This lack of knowledge keeps people from coming to Christ because they have no real awareness that they need a Savior.
Description: The Apostle concludes his teaching on submission with these two verses [3:8-9]. Whether it’s being in submission to every human authority, servants to a master, or even husbands and wives submitting to one another, we follow the example left for us by Jesus — we follow in His steps. Why? To inherit a blessing.
Description:God has not hidden Himself from mankind. He reveals Himself to any sincere seeker and does it in several interesting and undeniable ways. This message will try to remove the questions and doubts of people who are considering getting to know God.
Description: Jacob DeShazer of Salem Oregon took part in World War II’s legendary Doolittle Raid, endured more than three years as a Japanese prisoner of war and later teemed up with his wife to serve as a Methodist missionary in Japan for nearly thirty years.
Description: “Many today love traditional wedding ceremonies with biblical language who would be repulsed if they comprehended the meaning. A pledge to take a woman for his wife commits a man to sharing life in its entirety. Man and wife are heirs together of God’s gracious gift of one life. It demands of him selfless thoughtfulness of her. The New Testament repeatedly urges men to love their wives and be considerate towards them.” — Walter Chantry, THE SHADOW OF THE CROSS
Description:Very few Christians understand the extent to which the Bible teaches that we are united to the resurrected Christ. This inseperable relationship can be illustrated by the field of explosive welding. It is possible that two dissimilar items can become one; God and man united.
Description: An unsaved husband can better be won to Christianity by seeing it work in his wife’s godly life — even, as the Apostle writes, without a word. To illustrate, Peter turns to the marriage of Sarah and Abraham as the quintessential example of how the holy women of former times submitted to their husbands.
Description: Paul explains his circumstances to the Ephesian believers. He knew that some were discouraged by his imprisonment and persecution. Many of them probably wondered why God allowed those things to happen. But Paul never wondered, Paul knew. He knew that if he was in prison it was only because God wanted him in prison and he knew that God would use whatever circumstances to fulfil His kingdom purpose.
Description:Moses has been told he is at the end of his life. He is concerned that the Israelites will repeat old mistakes, and so he gives them a history lesson to prepare them to trust God more fully after he is gone.
Description: The Good Shepherd is one of the thrusts of Biblical scripture. This illustration encompasses many ideas, including God’s care for his people and his discipline to correct the wandering sheep. The tendency of humans to put themselves into danger’s way and their inability to guide and take care of themselves apart from the direct power and leading of God is also reinforced with the metaphor of sheep in need of a shepherd.
Description: It is essential to our Christian testimony that we live, in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, Godly lives. This is the heart and soul of the church’s integrity.
Description: Though you might not think of looking for the Easter Story in the Old Testament, God tells it beautifully through the life of Mephibosheth — a life that was filled with tragedy and shame. In the end, however, he was lifted out of his lowly position and given a place at the king’s table.
Listen in as Elder Monty Simao shows us how the story of Mephibosheth and King David parallels man and the King of Kings.

Description: A study of what makes the people of God so distinct from the world. The chosen in Christ honor Him by their obedience and good conduct to the authorities God has placed over them.
